Same Image Card Swap

From Deb

From Chris

Several months ago I participated in a same image card swap. Each participant stamped an image 12 times and mailed them to the swap hostess. The swap hostess then mailed out the images to all the participants. We all made cards using the images, and each person gets back the cards that were made using their images. Hope that makes sense!
These are all the cards I received made with my cat/dog image. I've had this stamp for a long time and I don't think I had ever used it before I stamped it for this swap. I love how all the cards turned out, it really gave me some great ideas.

A Great "Pear"

I made this card for a 1-on-1 card swap where we had to use a play on words. This swap was harder than I thought it was going to be. I'm happy with how it turned out though. I used a Lasting Impressions template for the dry embossed pears, and all the paper is Lasting Impressions too. I printed the sentiment on my computer. Hope you're having a great week! I have a short work week and am looking forward to some major crafting time later in the week.

Lil' Birdie

Hi, Hope you're having a great weekend! It's been awhile since I posted. I've been traveling every weekend and just been busy with stuff at work and at home. My plan is to post a couple times a week so we'll see how I do.
I visited my brother & his fiance over Labor Day weekend. They LOVED the wedding invitation. I am so relieved. Now to just keep embossing those daisies!
This is a card I made for the monthly challenge on the Yahoo Embossing Group I belong to. One person sends out embossed pieces and we have to make a card using those pieces. You can add other things to the pieces if you like. It is so neat to see how differently all the cards turn out! This month I received the bird, branch and the Lil' Birdie saying. The embossed pieces are from a new Lasting Impressions template. Thanks for stopping by!

Wedding Invite - Final Draft

I finished up the final draft of my brother's wedding invitation. I made several samples for them to choose from a couple months ago. They chose this one, and I've been working on a final draft to show them when I go home to Ohio this weekend. When I made the first one, I wasn't thinking of the RSVP envelope for the card, and my RSVP card didn't fit in any regular sized envelope. Once I revised it to fit in a small envelope, all my other dimensions were off for the other pull-outs. It was hard figuring out these dimensions and getting all the pull-out tabs to line up correctly and look nice. I think I have 7 hours invested in just this one card! It should be easier moving forward now that I know the dimensions and have the design completed. I am so excited to show this invite to them!

The cardstock is chocolate chip by Stampin Up. The pink patterned paper behind the Vellum is American Crafts Miss Muffett from the Baby line of papers. It's now retired and not being made anymore. I've been to 9 Michael's stores in my area buying up what they had on their shelves. If you see it in your area, I would gladly pay you for it and the shipping cost for you to send it to me! I am a little worried about not having enough of this paper to finish all 125-150 invites! Hope you have a nice Labor Day weekend!

As promised....

Sorry for the delay. I have my circus card tutorial available. This is the tutorial for how to make just the circus tent. I shared how to make the clown in my previous post. If you would like a copy of the tutorial, please email me at HDawson1@cox.net and I'll email it to you. Sorry, It was too large to upload in a post and I couldn't figure out how to upload a Word or PDF file here.
