Oscar the Grouch!
I've seen a lot of Oscar the Grouch cards made using punches, but never one with the trash can! I got the idea from Natasha's online punch class. You should check it out! She has some great punch creations. Thanks for stopping by my blog!

Sweet Treats!
This is a quick dry embossed card I made from some scraps I had laying on my craft table. I used the Popsicle and Ice Cream Cone templates from Lasting Impressions to make the card. They are two of my favorite templates, I think because the images are so quick and easy to dry emboss. And they look so darn cute when you're done! I layered them on top of punched circles and scallops. The "Sweet Treats" is a stamp by A Muse.

Dog Scrapbook
My friend Lauren had a birthday over the weekend. I made this scrapbook for her with pictures of her two dogs, Taz & Gunny. I didn't have any pictures of her dogs myself, so I ended up taking them from pictures she's posted of them on Facebook. She was really surprised when I gave this to her, and I think she really loved it. A few of the photos were really small images to begin with so I decided to make them look like they are on a photo strip. I used the Stampin' Up rolodex punch to make the film strip. The fire hydrant scrapbook is from Boxer Scrapbooks. The doggy paper is from Boxer Scrapbooks too. Hope you have a great day!

Happy Father's Day!
Happy Father's Day! I made this card for Greg's brother. I don't think I mailed it in time to get to him in Japan but I think he'll still enjoy it even if it's late. This is yet another card I made based on one of Heather's creations that she posted for her online punch class. I cannot recommend her class enough! It is so fun! These tools were all made using various Stampin' Up punches. I printed the Happy Father's Day from my computer.

Punch Monkey
I think this might be one of my favorite punch creations so far! I got the idea from Natasha's blog. She's having an online punch class that starts June 22nd. Details are on her blog. I just stumbled across her blog one day and saw this adorable monkey looking back at me, and I knew I had to make one of my own! He's made using mostly Stampin' Up oval and circle punches. The toes I made using the Stampin' Up slot punch. His mouth is hand drawn. I punched out some circles for the balloons and tied them to his hands with string. I don't remember who makes this paper. About a month ago, Chrisi saw an ad on Craigslist for someone selling their scrapbook supplies. We went to look through her stash, and I bought a huge box of patterned paper for $20 (a great deal, most of it was double sided!) and this paper was in that box.

Thank you card set
I am still loving my Just Rite stamps. I made this set of cards for my friend Christy's husband. Christy is the one I mentioned last month that had a brain aneursym. She's also 6 months pregnant. She has been released from the hospital and is now in a rehab facility in GA.She has a long recovery process ahead of her. I thought her husband would appreciate some thank you cards that he can send out. There have been so many people that have reached out to help him since Christy entered the hospital. I used basic grey paper to make the box and cards. I wasn't sure if I should make the cards a little more masculine looking or go with Christy's favorite color, purple. I opted for the masculine look since he'll be the one using them. I got the instructions to make the box on Splitcoast stampers site. It's the A2 box they have listed in the resource page.

Ant at a Picnic
Are you getting sick of these punch cards yet? I hope not because I'm not sick of making them!! This is another card I made from Heather's online punch class. The ant is made from punches. The red/white piece made to look like a picnic blanket is just strips of white and red paper woven in between each other. I printed the Happy Summer sentiment from my computer. Have a great day!

Wedding Invitation Sample
A few weeks ago I posted a sample wedding invitation that I made for my brother & his fiance. These are two of the other samples I came up with. They ended up choosing this one. I'll have to make 200 of them! I am going to start ordering supplies shortly and get working on them. It should be fun. The only part I'm dreading is dry embossing & cutting out all those daisies for the invites... 2 daisies per invite x 200 = 400 daisies. YIKES! And then the save the date card has 3 daisies on each one. That's another 600 daisies! I think I'll be buying my future sister-in-law a light box, stylus and template so she can suffer with me... er.... help me emboss some of them!

Thomas the Tank Engine Card
My niece & nephew (twins) turned 5 this weekend. I can't believe they are that old!! Unfortunately we weren't able to spend it with them. Their dad is in the Air Force and is stationed in Japan. They've been there for a little over a year now. We keep hoping he'll get transferred to the Pentagon and they'll move to the DC area near us. This is a card I made for my nephew. I hope he's not too old for Thomas the Tank Engine now that he's 5? Last time I saw him before they went to Japan he liked Thomas. I think they'll enjoy the big box of toys we sent more than the cards! I made this card entirely out of punches. It was quick & easy. Hope you had a nice weekend!

Baseball Congrats!
My friend Chrisi (a huge Washington Nationals fan) auditioned to be an extra in a new baseball movie starring Reese Witherspoon and Owen Wilson. They are filming part of the movie at Nationals stadium. She found out this week she was chosen to be an extra! I know she is so excited about it so I made her this Congrats card. The baseballs are made with a 1 3/4" circle punch. I drew the stitching with a white gel pen. The Congrats is made from a quickutz alphabet. I got the idea for the baseballs from Heather's Simply Punches 3 online class. I am so addicted to her punch classes, she comes up with the best ideas!!

Cupcake Card
I made this cupcake shaped card based off of a card that Kathy posted on the Yahoo Embossing group I belong to. I drew my own template (it took me a few tries to get it right! Okay, maybe more than a few!!) and made this card. The lines on the green cupcake paper are dry embossed and then sanded. The "For You" tag and cherry are both dry embossed. The pink ribbon is from Stampin' Up and I used the Stampin' Up slot punch to do the sprinkles. Thanks for visiting my blog!
